About the home:
When Portland clients wanted to build a vacation cabin near Sunriver, they called on Steve at Hansmann & Sons Construction to help them come up with ideas and a plan. Steve and home designer Vern Sexton came up with a simple yet very functional floor plan for the owners. They wanted plenty of sunlight, thus the large wall of windows. They also wanted a big outdoor covered porch to sit outdoors and enjoy their views of the forest. The home was accented with river rock around the wood stove and kitchen bar. The hardwood floors are hickory and the doors and trim are knotty alder to provide a warm rustic feeling throughout the home. The owners were ecstatic with their get-away cabin and appreciated Steve’s helpfulness and guidance in choosing their finishes
