The owners of this 3400 sq. ft. custom home wanted the ultimate in an Energy Efficient home. The home was designed by Vern Sexton. It was situated on the lot so that the solar panels would collect the maximum amount of the sun's energy to heat the hot water system and for the Photovoltaic panels to produce electricity.
The home also has radiant floor heating, Energy Star rated windows and appliances, and an impressive state-of-the art 24 hour energy monitoring system.
All floors, walls, and the attic space were insulated with Sealection 500 Spray, the most efficient way to insulate your home.
Not only did these features lower their energy costs and conserve natural resources, but they enhanced the comfort level of the home for the owners. It is a great example of Green Building.
