In 1962 brothers John and Ed Hansmann started building homes throughout Santa Cruz County. John taught all five of his sons, Mike, Tom, Joe, Steve and Jim the art of fine home building. Steve Hansmann took those skills and opened his own company in 1979. He was the second generation of Hansmanns to build quality custom homes in Santa Cruz. Now 50 years later that art is being passed onto to a third generation of builders, Steve's son John Jr.
Part of our family legacy is that Steve’s father taught him “honesty is always the best policy.” This is our famiy legacy and it is fundamental to the way we conduct our custom home building and remodeling company.
